“People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that’s what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that’s holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life.” – Elizabeth Gilbert
Yes! A soul mate is not meant to fit you perfectly. A soul mate is not even one single person, I think. Their are many that can hold that mirror; a friend, spouse, brother, sister, mother, daughter… That multi-mirror stands in front of me. It stands in the back of me. It stands on both sides, and all around… For I’ve met soul mates who came, and left. I’ve met ones who came, left, and returned. And I’ve met those who always stayed… Each leaving a permanent mark on the heart. But there is only one special kind of footprint. It’s the brightest of all mirrors, reflecting all that you must see. It’s so intense, it’ll leave you blinded and shaken. It’ll wake you up! You will then, see the world as a very different place. And you will see yourself with a very different purpose… And that’s the kind of mirror that changed my life.
….Who holds yours?
