The term “being used” holds negative implication, for many times people purposely and hurtfully abuse someone else’s trust or affection. However, to be used for a purpose that holds meaning and value, is one calling that we should practice willingly. I believe it is a privilege to be used by God in ways He sees fit, and to be of benefit to others. We are here on this planet as a community of social beings that need each other for survival. Our purpose is to work for God, in any way He pleases. If I’m able to help, inspire, change or influence anyone in a positive way, then I think I’ve done my life assignment well. That’s when I feel most fulfilled and happy. When I can give any part of me to someone that needs it, and they feel its effect, then I know I’m not just here for me; I’m here for a bigger purpose and that purpose is only known by God. The real goal isn’t to be recognized with an award or applause for the effort, but to do it purely for the other without selfish intent. That’s when the true award is gifted for you and them.
